many of the countries of Europe were allied with each other........a group i believe called the black hand assassinated the archduke franz Ferdinand........causing much suspicion.......suspicion leads to people not liking each other very much.......many of the countries that joined in the war in the early stages were really already ready to get at someones throat.....this just gave them a pristine opportunity.........
the black hand actually succeeded on accident........the grenade meant to kill the duke missed...........one of the black hand members just happend to be near a sidestreet the duke chose to use some hours later
