How many times have you said "funner" and someone tells you that funner is not a word?
"Funner" is often considered informal or non-standard English. The correct comparative form of "fun" is "more fun." So, it would be more appropriate to say, "This is more fun than that."
MORE FUN IS THE CORRECT TERM. Funner is not. Besides that more fun means adding to fun Funner means taking your fun and making it better
funnier

Yes funner is a word, It was not at first but the word came to be more popular and now is in the 2010 dictonary. The word "fun" is fun and "funner" is MORE fun. Which is how they used it and now its just "funner." Grammar Girl researched the history of 'fun,' the adjective. Apparently, the grammar gurus haven't gotten over that people insist on using the noun fun as an adjective and therefore refuse to 'sanction' the comparatives. See the link for Grammar Girl's report.
