Ethics plays an important role in business.it is because ethics create the image. If u cant deal with customers honestly, that means u r detoriating ur image.

>>Ethics were thrown out the window in the incident in the Del Rey Oaks Safeway, where a meat cleark stopped a man from beating his pregnant wife/girlfried IN THE STORE! Afterward the employee (a good hearted Black man) was put on leave without pay by the Safeway store manager. Seems to me, the manager is the unethical one.

Why might an individual with high ethical standards act less ethically in business than in her own personal life?

In business the need to perform, the need to succeed, and other factors sometimes pressure otherwise ethical acting individuals to do things they shouldn't do. Financial pressures can cause a business person to do things that aren't ethical. Sometimes the intentions are to fix it later but sometimes that doesn't happen. It can be hard to admit failure and making some ethically questionable decision or actions might seem to be a possible solution.
