Labor specialization is what economists called division of labor. This is the practice of breaking up a big job, like building an automobile, into smaller jobs. Once the details of each small task are worked out, the tasks are assigned to individual workers. This way, instead of have to learn how to build an entire car, each worker only has to learn his or her task, which increases productivity.

Specialization is when individuals or businesses focus on a specific area of expertise or service. This leads to different jobs as each specialization requires different skills, knowledge, and experience, which in turn creates a variety of roles within an industry or field to fulfill specialized needs. Specialization also promotes efficiency and productivity by allowing individuals to become highly skilled in a particular area.
