A two dollar bill generally is worth very close to two dollars if it has a green seal, however, blue and red seals are worth about five dollars. If it is from 1976, it is also worth about five dollars.

The only 1929 $5 bills issued by the Federal Government were brown seal National Currency notes. If that's what you have, its retail value ranges from $30 in worn condition to about $200 in nearly-new condition.
Only brown seal notes were issued in 1929. If yours is red, then it's been altered -- perhaps gone through the laundry with bleach? If so, it's lost any significant collector value.
Please check your bill again. 1923 and 1928 are the only dates in the 1920s for red-seal $1 bills.
