Here is an example of an unethical business practice that many people are not aware of. It is called a "bait & switch". What this entails is an advertisement for a specific item at a very low price. Involved in this is a "valuable" product that is geared to bring in business. Here is an example of this:

1. A camera store advertises a camera lense of great quality at a low price;

2. The consumer visits the store to purchase this "bargain";

3. The consumer is informed at the camera store that their supply of the lense has run out;and

4. The store sales person suggests a lower grade lense as a good substitute for the original lense; and

5. The consumer has been lured to the store on the basis of the better lense; and

6. The store's objective is a hidden one. It is to lure a consumer to the store and sell the consumer another product.
