The standard of living of a nation can be gauged from the facts how many percentage of population are able to meet the bare necessities of life :- two square meals a day, decent clothing, roof over head, access to safe drinking water. It would be such a society where average children will not suffer from malnutrition, average women folk with have healthy food to eat. Standard of living cannot be judged by the number of population a country has. Thus, the standard of living of Sweden, Denmark, Japan is much higher compared with vast populace country like China, India.
