Yes and you do not have to pay it back
Only if you live in the United States and own the home as an investment. Say you live in Philadelphia and own a property in Puerto Rico, then you have to pay a tax and if you rent it out its double.
In socialist monopoly the utilities and the transport spaces are all owned by the government as these are considered essential services and rent on these squares are lowered. However, this lack of income in rent is substituted by having much higher tax spaces. There are more cards which make you pay for having hotels, houses and large amounts of property. Useful to losing players is that the money from passing 'go' is raised to meet the requirements of living expenses on the board (such as rent, etc) however if you are above a certain net income level then you no longer may claim any benefits from passing go. Many have found socialism monopoly rules to be against the point of normal monopoly as due to the subsidies given to the poor, taken from the rich, players can take a lead but rarely bankrupt a player. Indeed, even if they do, another special rule allows such players to go on welfare. The government also cannot achieve a major controlling interest in the board as well as they are often hampered by their own in-effeciancies. Often socialist monopoly reverts to regular monopoly, duopoly or a more liberal free market system as the players get sick of the excessive taxes. However, socialist monopoly has been known to become communist monopoly if enough players join the proletariat and rise up against their selfish landlords.
do you have to pay rent when you are in jail for baconopoly
You just pay the owner of the property.
I don't know if this is printed in the rules, but if they don't notice and you have vacated the property, you don't have to pay.
No, you do not have to pay a player in jail in Monopoly when you land on their property. Players in jail cannot collect rent from other players.
Yes, the person who lands on your property pays you rent. The amount of rent depends on how many buildings are on your property.
Yes, players in jail can still collect rent from others if they land on their property. The player in jail cannot collect rent while in jail, but the owner of the property can still demand rent from the other players who land on it.
If you are fortunate enough to hold St. James Place in Monopoly with a hotel on it, an unlucky player who lands on that space will have to pay you $950. That's over 10 times the rent paid if you just have 1 house on the property, so build quickly!
the rent in monopoly is when you land on somones property and if they do not have any houses, or hotels, you pay the least amout of money, the rent. which can be anywhere from 2 dollars at the purple properties, to 50 dollars at the blue ones.
it will cost you $ 50.00 to get out of jail unless you have to pay double it would the be $100.00 dollars
He was playing a game of Monopoly. The hotel was on a player's property, and the car was a game piece. He landed on a space with a hotel and had to pay rent.
Following the standard rules of monopoly, a player may still collect rent as usual while in jail. They may not, however, collect their passing-go money, if going to jail would take them past it.
With monopoly money...
