If forests and grasslands disappear, there will be a loss of biodiversity, disruption in ecosystems, increased carbon dioxide levels leading to global warming, soil erosion, and decreased water quality and availability. This can impact wildlife habitats, exacerbate climate change, and lead to detrimental effects on human communities that rely on these ecosystems for resources such as water and food.

What if forests disappear?

If forests disappear, it would lead to the loss of biodiversity, increase in greenhouse gas emissions, disruption of local and global ecosystems, and decline in essential ecosystem services such as oxygen production, carbon sequestration, and water regulation. This would have detrimental effects on the environment, wildlife, and human populations worldwide.

Rank tundra boreal forests temperature deciduous forests and grassland by their temperatures?

What will happen if forests disappear?

Many animals who make their homes in the forests will also disappear, and so will the animals who feed on these animals. This devastation will travel all the way up the food chain. Trees produce most of our oxygen, also, so we would not have enough to breathe. In addition, our source for lumber will disappear.

What will happen if forests will disappear. Relate it to global warming?

That depends upon where they disappear to. If they are used in construction, the carbon contained in those forests will still remain sequestered. More likely, however, the forests will burn down, as our climate changes. This will release the carbon they contain into the atmosphere, accelerating the rate of global warming.
