NOT 65 degrees F

since -6 deg C = 21.2 deg F

and 12 deg C = 53.6 deg F, the difference in deg F is 32.4 deg.

This is not the same as 18 deg C since neither scale is absolute.

To see this more simply,

the difference between 10 deg C and 10 deg C (the same temp) is 0 deg C.

But 0 deg C = 32 deg F. It does not follow that the difference between 50 deg F (= 0 deg C) and 50 deg F is 32 deg F!
