This depends on the energy source. ______________ Alternate: The question asks about the energy, and not about the materials that exist before and after energy is extracted. As a non-physicist, I believe that in every case where energy is used the energy itself follows some combination of these paths, always including at least a little of the last item: It is transformed into work that has been done on some object, it is transformed into another form of energy like potential or chemical energy or electricity, it is transformed intentionally into heat for one purpose or another, or it is expended as entropy, which is essentially the forever unrecoverable potential to do work. Entropy is often, but not always, in the form of wasted heat.

After electricity is used, it is converted into other forms of energy such as heat, light, or motion. In electrical circuits, the energy is dissipated as heat through resistance in the wires and components. In some cases, electricity can be stored in batteries for later use.

Laws of thermodynamics: Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. It can only change forms. In any process, the total energy of the universe remains the same.

When you use anything electrical you are only converting the electricity into some other form of energy in particular, mechanical or heat energy. So when you use a stove for example the electricity is converted into heat. The electical energy is now in your room where you used the stove in the form of heat(which will slowly dissipate into the surrounding air and very minutely change the overall temperature)its still there just in another form.

when electricity is used it is like that paper that burns to nothing it just get totally consumed. also it is not a solid object you can not fell an object just discharge

When you turn on a light switch, the electricity is converted into light, heat - convection/radiation. Burnt paper turns to ash, smoke, heat and of course light! Maybe your question should be what happens to the light coming from the bulb?

What are Hawaii's non renewable energy sources?

Hawaii's non-renewable energy sources include petroleum (used for electricity generation and transportation), coal (used for electricity generation), and natural gas (used for electricity generation). These sources are limited in supply and have negative environmental impacts when extracted and burned.

Is soil used to make electricity?

Soil itself is not used to generate electricity. However, certain microbes found in soil can be used in microbial fuel cells to produce small amounts of electricity through a process called bioremediation. This technique is being studied as a potential renewable energy source.

What are 3 substances that make electricity?

Three substances that make electricity are copper, which is commonly used in electrical wiring for its high conductivity, silicon, which is used in solar panels to convert sunlight into electricity, and sulfuric acid, which is used in lead-acid batteries to generate electrical energy.

Can heat from a chain reaction be used to generate electricity?

Yes, heat from a chain reaction, such as in a nuclear reactor, can be used to generate electricity through a process called nuclear fission. The heat produced from the chain reaction is used to create steam, which drives a turbine connected to a generator, producing electricity.

Is oil used to make electricity?

Yes, oil is used to generate electricity in power plants through a process called combustion, where the oil is burned to boil water and produce steam. The steam then drives a turbine connected to a generator, which produces electricity. However, oil is not as commonly used for electricity generation as other sources like natural gas, coal, and renewables due to cost and environmental concerns.

What happens to steam after it has generated electricity?

After steam has been used to generate electricity in a power plant, it is condensed back into water. This condensed water is then returned to the boiler to be heated again and turned back into steam, creating a continuous cycle of generating electricity.

What is static electricity and why is this name used?

Static electricity is when a group of atoms form together. When friction happens atoms create a negative charge and a shock is formed.

What happens to the energy of steam after it has been used in a powerstation?

The energy in the steam is converted into mechanical energy by the turbines as it passes through them. This mechanical energy is then used to generate electricity, which can be distributed for various purposes.

What happens to electricity that is produced in wind turbines?

Electricity produced in wind turbines is sent to a power grid for distribution to homes and businesses. It can be used immediately or stored in batteries for later use. If there is excess electricity generated, it can also be sold back to the grid.
