The main gas is carbon dioxide. We release this whenever we burn coal, oil or natural gas (the fossil fuels). Trees remove carbon from the atmosphere, but deforestation means that much of this carbon dioxide remains in the atmosphere. This is causing global warming, which causes the climate to change.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is the primary gas responsible for climate change. It is emitted through human activities such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation, and it acts as a greenhouse gas, trapping heat in the Earth's atmosphere and leading to global warming.

The main gas causing the accelerated greenhouse phenomenon is carbon dioxide, released when we burn fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas).

The natural greenhouse effect is caused by water vapor, carbon dioxide and other gases.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) and methane are causing the increased greenhouse effect which is giving us global warming.

Global warming is the cause of climate change.

How does lightning affects the climate change?

Lightning contributes to climate change by producing nitrogen oxides which can react with other compounds in the atmosphere to form ozone, a potent greenhouse gas. Additionally, lightning can spark wildfires which release carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, further exacerbating climate change.

Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that causes what?

Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas that contributes to the trapping of heat in the Earth's atmosphere, leading to global warming and climate change.

What is the difference between carbon emissions and greenhouse gas emissions, and how do they contribute to climate change?

Carbon emissions specifically refer to the release of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere, while greenhouse gas emissions encompass a broader range of gases that trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere, including CO2, methane, and nitrous oxide. Both types of emissions contribute to climate change by increasing the concentration of these gases in the atmosphere, leading to a warming effect known as the greenhouse effect. This warming causes changes in global temperatures, weather patterns, and sea levels, ultimately resulting in climate change.

CO2 is an example of?

an example of a greenhouse gas that contributes to climate change by trapping heat in the atmosphere.

Has the change from burning coal to gas changed our climate?

The transition from burning coal to gas has reduced carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions, which has led to a decrease in climate impact. Burning natural gas produces fewer emissions than burning coal, contributing to lower levels of pollutants in the atmosphere and helping to mitigate climate change.

What is natural resources of US?

Over using a certain natural resource such as Coal. As we mine for coal we are releasing dust and gas into the atmosphere which causes Global Warming and Climate Change.

Is climate related to atmosphere?

Yes, climate is related to the atmosphere as the atmosphere plays a key role in regulating Earth's climate. The composition of gases in the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide and methane, contribute to the greenhouse effect, which influences the Earth's temperature and climate patterns. Variations in the atmosphere, such as changes in greenhouse gas concentrations or aerosol levels, can impact climate change.

Why does the United States need to find alternate energy sources?

Using coal oil and natural gas causes damage to the environment by adding greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. This is causing global warming and climate change.

How has co2 effected climate change?

CO2 is a greenhouse gas that traps heat in the atmosphere, contributing to global warming and climate change. Increased levels of CO2 from human activities, such as burning fossil fuels, have led to rising global temperatures, changing weather patterns, and more frequent extreme events like heatwaves and droughts. Reducing CO2 emissions is essential to mitigating the impacts of climate change.

What happens second in Climate change?

After increased greenhouse gas emissions from human activities, the second key factor in climate change is the trapping of heat in the Earth's atmosphere, leading to a warming effect known as the greenhouse effect. This trapped heat causes shifts in weather patterns, rising sea levels, melting ice caps, and other significant environmental impacts.

What process causes water on earths surface to change to gas and rise into the atmosphere?

The process that causes water on Earth's surface to change to gas and rise into the atmosphere is called evaporation. This occurs when the sun's heat energy causes water molecules to gain enough energy to break free from the liquid's surface and enter the air as water vapor.

What process causes nitrogen to be released as a gas?

Atmosphere causes 78% nitrogen to be released as a gas
