The temperature on Earth varies, depending on the specific location and season, and has an average temperature of around 15°C. The lowest temperature ever recorded was -89.2°C, in Vostok, Antarctica, and the hottest temperature ever recorded was 70.7°C in the Lut Desert of Iran.

The highest temperature ever recorded on earth was 58 degrees (136 Fahrenheit) in Lybia, the lowest was -89 degrees (-128 Fahrenheit) in Antarctica.

The question is somewhat ambiguous in that it does not distinguish between "normal" surface temperature of that in the molten core of the Earth, which will be very much higher.

The highest ground temperature recorded was 93.9 deg C in Furnace Creek Ranch, Death Valley, USA. However, the standard for measuring temperatures are in the air, at a height of 1.5 metres above the ground, and away from direct sunlight. On this definition, the highest recorded temperature was 56.7 deg C, also at Furnace Creek Ranch.

The lowest temperature recorded was -89.2 deg C at the Soviet Vostok Station in Antarctica. There are satellite data suggest a temperature of -93.2 deg C - also in Antarctica - but these were not confirmed by actual measurement.

Which planet's temperature is closest to that of Earth?

Venus has a surface temperature that is closest to Earth's temperature. Despite being much closer to the Sun, Venus has a thick atmosphere that traps heat, resulting in temperatures that can reach around 900 degrees Fahrenheit (475 degrees Celsius), which is similar to Earth's average temperature.

Why does the temperature of a reaction increases reaches a maximum and then decreases?

The maximum temperature is attained when the reaction is completed.

What is the average temperature the Savanna?

Why don't the dates of maximum and minimum temperatures coincide with the dates of maximum and minimum insolation?

The dates of maximum and minimum temperatures do not coincide with the dates of maximum and minimum insolation because temperature is not only affected by the amount of incoming solar radiation but also by factors like cloud cover, humidity, and heat capacity of the surface. These factors can cause delays in the heating and cooling of the Earth, resulting in differences between the timing of maximum insolation and maximum temperature.

Will the minimum an maximum temperature always be equidistant from the current temperature?

Not necessarily. The minimum and maximum temperature can vary and may not always be equidistant from the current temperature. The difference between the current temperature and the minimum or maximum temperature depends on various factors such as weather conditions and time of day.
