A homogeneous mixture is a mixture where all the parts are equally distributed. Air, for instance, is a homogeneous mixture. You don't get chunks of different types of air.

A heterogeneous mixture is a mixture where the components aren't consistent throughout. Soup or a Pizza, for instance, are heterogeneous mixtures. There are parts that are not consistent with the rest of the mixture.

Gasoline is a homogeneous mixture because its properties are consistent throughout the mixture, and there aren't places or pockets where the mixture is significantly different.

i dont really know if gas isn't heterogeneous, but most likely because heterogeneous things have colloids and suspensions, such as rocky road ice cream and Orange Juice with pulp.. :P

It is completely blended in a solution form, it is homogeneous.

Is oil dissolved in gasoline heterogeneous?

No, oil is not dissolved in gasoline; instead, they form a homogeneous mixture. Gasoline is a mixture of different hydrocarbons, and oil is a common component in gasoline blends. This makes gasoline a homogeneous mixture rather than a heterogeneous one.

Nickel and silicon are elements. Gasoline is a homogeneous mixture.

Why is gasoline heterogeneous or homogeneous?

Gasoline is considered a homogeneous mixture because it is made up of multiple components (such as hydrocarbons), which are uniformly distributed throughout the mixture. This means that you cannot visually distinguish its different components, making it a homogeneous blend.
