Yes, many people live in a humid subtropical climate. New York City, St. Louis, Memphis, and the southern US have a humid subtropical climate. Summers are very warm/hot and winters are short and mild, though locations on the northern limit of the subtropics may have cold winters.

Humans have impacted the humid subtropical environment through deforestation for agriculture and urban development, leading to habitat loss and fragmentation for many species. Increased air and water pollution from human activities like industrialization and transportation have also degraded the air and water quality in these regions. Climate change resulting from human activities has further exacerbated extreme weather events in humid subtropical areas.

the China type of climate region has adequate rainfall, no prolonged drought and warm enough cold season to allow the cultivation of crops. to provide food for the teeming population of this region, the hills are terraced, fields are irrigated and agriculture is extended to the limits of production. rice, tea and mulberries are extensively grown in china. besides soyabeans, sugarcane, potatoes and other vegetables are also grown.

in the USA, maize, corn, cotton and tobacco are grown.
