If global warming continues, then glaciers and ice caps will melt causing rises in sea levels that will destroy island nations and causing flooding around low lying coastal areas of most countries. Rising temperatures will bring climate change, with weather events predicted to become more severe. Frozen land may become suitable for growing crops but large areas of warm countries, like Africa, may become desert and the people will suffer drought and famine. Some of this is already happening.

Global warming leads to an increase in the Earth's average temperature due to the accumulation of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, such as carbon dioxide and methane. This can result in more extreme weather events, changes in precipitation patterns, and disruptions to ecosystems and biodiversity. Additionally, global warming can contribute to the melting of ice caps and glaciers, leading to rising sea levels.

Well, in my point of view, the atmosphere is a layer of air that protects Earth from burning up by the Sun. Global warming heats the atmosphere up a little too much, creating a hole, and the sun burns everything in the hole. Everyday, this hole is getting a little bigger.

It is doubtful that global warming will ever destroy the planet. But, allowed to proceed at an accelerating pace, it will result in species extinctions, rising sea levels, inundation of coastal areas and increased storm damage. Apart from the loss of biodiversity, the economic damage will be enormous.

Global warming is responsible for human beings?

Global warming is caused by human activities that release greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, leading to rising temperatures and other climate impacts. It is important for humans to take action to reduce our carbon footprint and mitigate the effects of global warming to protect the planet and future generations.

Why does global warming decrease temperatures?

Global warming refers to the overall warming of the planet over time due to the increase in greenhouse gases trapping heat in the atmosphere. It is not directly related to a decrease in temperatures; rather, it leads to shifts in climate patterns, which can include more extreme weather events such as heatwaves or heavy rainfall.

Global warming is the result of increases in what?

Global warming is the result of increases in greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide in the Earth's atmosphere, which trap heat and lead to a warming trend in global temperatures. Other factors such as deforestation and industrial activities also contribute to global warming by releasing additional greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

How do plants increase global warming?

Plants do not directly increase global warming. In fact, plants play a crucial role in combating global warming by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere through photosynthesis. However, deforestation and land-use changes can contribute to global warming by releasing stored carbon in trees and soil back into the atmosphere.

What is the cause of the warming of the atmosphere?

The primary cause of the warming of the atmosphere is the increase in greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, which trap heat in the Earth's atmosphere. Human activities, such as the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation, contribute significantly to the rise in greenhouse gas concentrations, leading to global warming.

Is the easrths atmosphere getting thicker or thinner due to global warming?

The atmosphere is becoming Thinner. Global warming depletes the ozone.

What are some topics you could choose to write about for global warming?

History of climate change throughout the years, factors causing global warming such as methane gas and water vapor, the effects of CO2 on temperature is probably over-done, but something comparing the amounts of say, CO2 and water vapor in the atmosphere and their relative effects on insulating the atmosphere and the ensuing global warming would be more original.

No the warming is only a warming of the atmosphere.

Do the gases in the atmosphere increase or decrease global warming?

The greenhouse gases are increasing global warming.
