Biofuel, or biomass, is sometimes the burning of vegetation to produce energy. Burning, especially incomplete burning, can release smoke and other air borne particulates as pollution. The carbon dioxide released was only recently removed from the atmosphere (when the vegetation was growing) so it is not a pollution causing global warming. (This is why biomass and biofuel is counted as clean renewable energy.)

Yes, non-renewable resources like fossil fuels can cause pollution when they are burned for energy, releasing harmful gases such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere. This pollution contributes to climate change, air quality issues, and other environmental concerns.

Many critics of wind power feel that the visual appearance of large wind turbines constitutes visual pollution, while the noise generated by them constitutes sound pollution.

A:No. Renewable energy comes in many forms, hydro electric dams, solar panels on roofs, graceful wind towers, geothermal power stations with zero carbon emissions. Compare these to fossil fuelled energy like coal burning power stations and you will understand what real pollution is.

What are the three groups that geographers divide the Earth's natural resources into?

Renewable resources, non-renewable resources, and flow resources. Renewable resources include sunlight and wind, non-renewable resources are things like fossil fuels and minerals, and flow resources are elements like water and soil that are continuously replenished by natural processes.

Is soil non-renewable or renewable?

Soil is renewable because it can be regenerated over time through natural processes such as weathering of rocks, decomposition of organic matter, and formation of new soil layers. However, soil degradation due to factors such as erosion, pollution, and deforestation can deplete soil fertility and lead to non-renewable conditions in the short term.

What two groups are natural resources grouped into?

Renewable resources and non-renewable resources. Renewable resources can be replenished over time, such as sunlight and wind. Non-renewable resources are finite and will be depleted over time, like fossil fuels and minerals.

Features of non-renewable resource?

Non-renewable resources are finite and cannot be easily replaced once depleted. They are typically formed over millions of years and include fossil fuels like oil, coal, and natural gas. Extraction and use of non-renewable resources can have negative environmental impacts, such as air and water pollution.

Is gold a non renewable or renewable resources?

Gold is a non renewable resources

Why renewable resource is best?

Renewable energy can't run out. Non-renewable energy WILL run out. Renewable energy is produced at a constant rate, non-renewable is not. Renewable energy is free when the generator is built, non-renewable is not. Renewable energy does not cause pollution (with the exception of biofuels), non-renewable energy does.

What are the disadvantages of non-renewable resources?

The disadvantage of non-renewable resources is that they are non-renewable (ie: once they are gone they are gone forever). You can only use them once.A renewable resource, like water, comes back fresh and clean as rain, after it goes through the water cycle. They are running out. When releasing can caused pollution or global warming.

How can you classify energy resources?

Energy resources can be classified as renewable or non-renewable. Renewable resources include solar, wind, hydroelectric, and biomass, while non-renewable resources include fossil fuels like oil, coal, and natural gas. Another classification is based on whether the energy source is clean or dirty, with clean resources being environmentally friendly and dirty resources causing pollution.

Why have we been developing different renewable resources in favor of non-renewable resources in the past few decades?

Non-renewable resources such coal, oil, fossil fuels....etc are not preferred. This is because once they have been used, they are not replaced in the nature. Instead the more they are used, the more they finish. Also, such resources have one big disadvantage; they cause air pollution when burned as they release toxic gases. Renewable resources are preferred as they are the best ones. Once used, they do not decrease; they are replaced by nature itself. For example, solar energy, wind energy, tidal energy....etc. These types of energy do not cause pollution and they are good for the environment. In the years to come, the non-renewable resources will cease to exist but the renewable ones will still be there. Taking into consideration all these advantages and disadvantages, we come to a conclusion that renewable resources are much better and that is why they are preferred over non-renewable resources

How does the consumption of non renewable resources effect the environment?

About the same as renewable resources, except that we cant renew the non renewable resources.

Are eggs renewable or non-renewable resources?

Eggs are renewable resources.

Why are non renewable resources bad?

Nonrenewable resources are bad in the way that they cannot be used again. For example, gasoline is a nonrenewable resource. Once we use it all, it is gone. Paper, on the other hand, is renewable. We can recycle paper and use it again and again and again.

What are resources that can't be renewable called?

They are called Non-renewable resources.
