Well Yakult is made from water, powdered skim milk, sucrose and the bacteria. Eventually the bacteria runs out of a food source ie sugar and will die off. There are 8 billion live cultures in there...cool huh? Anyhow the milk is sterilized so its not going to go bad even if you leave it out in an open room. Couldnt imagine it fairing well in the direct sun, but then again what does? That's about all I know, . Food for thought though. The bacteria eats the sugar, digests in some form, waste product? effects? who knows? :)
When you drink expired Yakult you can risk getting very ill. Anything expired can cause food poisoning.
If your Yakult is expired, it's best to dispose of it in the trash. The live cultures in Yakult may not be as effective past the expiration date, so it's better to avoid consuming it. Look for any recycling instructions on the packaging before discarding.
Yes, it's fine to drink yakult when pregnant or breastfeeding.

Yakult is acidic due to its low pH value. Despite being a probiotic drink that contains beneficial bacteria, the overall pH of Yakult is acidic.
Probably not, although technically, it could. 'Yakult' is a Japanese brand name. The name Yak for the animal is English. However, the drink Yakult has skimmed milk in it and the animal the milk is from is not defined.
yakult yoghurt drink
Yakult is acidic in nature. It is a fermented milk drink that contains lactic acid produced by bacteria during the fermentation process.
No, Yakult is not a living thing. Yakult is a probiotic drink made by fermenting a mixture of bacteria and yeast in a process that does involve living organisms. But the final product itself is not a living organism.
The only other probiotic drink in the market is Mother Dairy's Nurtifit, however we do not see it as a potential competitor, as Yakult is ahead of Nutrifit in all departments.
