When someone asks for a 'dry' martini it means that they want a martini with one specific liquor (either on the rocks or up) and with dry vermouth. If someone asks for an 'extra dry' martini it means that they only want the liquor and NO vermouth. I know it sounds backwards, but that is the terminology.

The best website I have found to learn to bartend is http://www.barninja.com It has a free online university of bartending. You can take courses in almost any bartending subject. It is the best place for bartenders to learn their trade. They also sell bartending equipment so if you need supplies and barware you can get it all in one place.

I really don't know. Haven't heard of any. I didn't go to a bartending school it cost to much 400.00. I ordered a bartending book . Bartendingexposed.com for 37.00. I would recomend this bartending book to anyone who wants to learn how to bartend. Someone recomend it to me. I am working now after studing the bartending book. I studied the book and my drinks until I felf confident in myself, then I applied for jobs. I am so glad I didn't pay that 400.00. hey good luck.hope this info was helpful

I would say the New York Bartending School, it is considered the best bartending school in New York and you are also able to try a free hands on trial class with them. I would say give them a shot and I hope it all works out for you. Good luck!
