Tea is an infusion made by steeping processed parts of the tea bush, Camellia sinensis, in hot water for a few minutes.
Many different parts of the plant are used. Usually, the top two leaves and the leaf bud are used, but some teas include larger, more mature leaves, and a few teas include stems, twigs, and other parts of the tea plant.
The processing can include processes to bruise or crush the leaves, encouraging them to oxidize, heating (steaming or pan-firing) to stop the oxidation, and drying. These different methods of processing, and also the different regions and different times of harvesting, can result in different types of tea with radically different flavor, aroma, and other qualified. Teas can be broadly classified as black tea, oolong tea, green tea, and white tea, and there are many sub-varieties of each of these types.
Tea is sometimes blended or scented with other ingredients or flavorings, leading to flavored teas or scented teas. Herbal teas are not proper teas as they do not contain the tea plant.
Products marketed as "herbal peppermint tea" or "peppermint herbal tea" can actually contain a number of different ingredients.
Often, they are made exclusively of peppermint leaves.
Sometimes they contain peppermint leaves and other herbs, such as other mints (like spearmint) or other non-mint herbs.
Sometimes they contain flavorings made from the extracts or distillates of peppermint or other plants...these flavorings are usually labeled "natural flavors". "Artificial flavors" include synthetic flavorings that are not derived from a natural plant source.
If you are concerned about what is in your peppermint tea, read the ingredient list. In many climates, including most temperate climates, peppermint is very easy to grow, and is available for sale at most nurseries and garden stores.

Pure peppermint tea made of nothing but the peppermint plant is 100% caffeine-free. Similarly, all other plants in the mint family, including spearmint and many other herbs, are also caffeine-free.However, sometimes peppermint or other mints can be blended with green or black tea, or other teas from the tea plant, Camellia sinensis, or with other caffeine-containing plants like Yerba mate. These blends can contain caffeine. Typically "Moroccan mint tea" is a blend of mint and green tea. When buying mint tea, if you desire a caffeine-free herbal tea, check the ingredient list, and/or check for the term caffeine free on the label. "Herbal tea" usually implies, but does not guarantee that a blend is caffeine free--because Yerba mate and a few other plants are considered "herbal teas" but contain caffeine.
It wouldn't be pure peppermint tea if it had green tea in it, so no.
Peppermint or spearmint, any sort of mint as a tea or the fresh leaves boiled into a tea (about 6 leaves to 2 cups of water, boiled for a couple of minutes).

"Currently there are 6 different coffee flavors and 6 different tea flavors available. These include Colombian,ALTERRA, Costa Rica , Ethiopian, Sumatra, and Kenyan. Tea flavors include Japanese Green, Green with Jasmine, lemon herbal, peppermint herbal ,raspberry herbal, and white with orange."
Generally, most teas are slightly acidic. However, herbal teas such as chamomile or peppermint are considered alkaline due to their low acidity levels.
If you buy just pure peppermint tea there should not be any caffeine in it. Just to be safe you may want to look at the ingredients to make sure it does not have any type of other tea in it. However though sometimes peppermint teas have other things in them besides just peppermint leaves, it may also say something like bergmont essence but as long as it doesn't say Black Tea or Green Tea in the ingredients it should be fine. The only type of tea it should say in the ingredients is peppermint tea.
