HOOK & LADDER BREWING COMPANY
BREWING THE RIGHT THING, DONATING A PENNY IN EVERY PINT and A QUARTER IN EVERY CASE
An idea that began brewing in the kitchen of volunteer firefighter Rich Fleischer has evolved into one of the country's fastest-growing craft beers. Hook & Ladder Brewing Company, the Washington, D.C.-area mission-based brewery founded by Rich and his business-minded brother, Matt, exemplifies the social entrepreneurship trend. Hook & Ladder is succeeding through its founding commitment to provide an exceptional line of beer while giving back to burned firefighters and burn survivors in communities across America and keeping donations local to the areas in which they distribute.
We currently offer 5 different types of beer and are releasing 2 new ones in the variety packs coming out this Fall 2009!
Our beers are:
Golden Ale (Gold Medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival)
Backdraft Brown (winner of the Washington Post Beer Madness in 2008)
Ember Amber (2/3 Golden Ale 1/3 Backdraft Brown)
Lighter (94 calorie full flavored light beer)
Pipe & Drum Irish Ale (our Irish Red Ale)
Flashpoint Pale Ale (our first Pale Ale being introduced this Fall)

No, you don't have to hook your leg through the rung of the ladder for safe climbing. It's commonly recommended to maintain three points of contact with the ladder at all times for stability, typically two hands and one foot or two feet and one hand. Always follow proper ladder safety guidelines.
