The main driver behind weight loss and weight gain is calories eaten vs calories used up.
If you eat more calories than you use, you will gain weight.
If you eat less than you use, you will lose weight.
I'm not saying it is easy, but it is that simple.
Alcoholic Beverages, incl. wine, have quite a lot of calories.
If you drink those it will be hard for you to stay within the allowed calorie budget required to lose weight.
But sure, as long as it fits in your calorie budget you can have pretty much whatever and still lose weight
Yes; red wine is better.
Better than? Lemonade? White wine? Etc?
My opinion is for a nice dinner - wine is favorable. For a casual dinner - beer is the favorite. YMMV..........................
probably white because its better than red.
Drinking red wine (as well as white wine, beer and distilled spirits) in moderation is associated with better health and longer life than abstaining from alcohol.
Red wine has about the same health benefits as does beer and distilled spirits. Consumed in moderation, they are all associated with better health than abstaining.
The colour wine has more than a tint of red; it is the colour of a dark red wine.
Mother Monster's (aka: Lady Gaga) favorite red wine would have to be red wine because there is no other type of red wine than red wine.
Consumers tend to prefer red over white wines.
Your level of intoxication will be a lot higher if you have a glass of wine rather than a bottle of beer.

Any kind of red wine is fine - but a white wine would actually be better for your kidneys, as red wine has higher levels of sugar, therefore forcing your kidneys to work harder to filter it out.
