Raw coffee beans contain a much higher concentration of caffeine than coffee drinks. Caffeine is a drug (albeit legal). Eating too many can cause overdose: twitching, extreme nervousness, insomnia, anxiety and many other problems. Eating them raw should be avoided.

It isn't good for you according to doctors, i'd rather you don't chew them because it doesn't digest well. Most people assume this stuff but if they keep eating them they'll have problems with digesting things and may lead to surgery as the years pass by and they continuously eat them. They do taste good but i'd rather not.
