More appropriately, why would anyone believe such nonsense in the face of historical fact? The Illuminati did exist--over 200 years ago in a small region of whatis now Germany. It no longer does exist, so no one can join.

Not because one cannot know the motives of the Illuminati. Well, actually that is it, because the Illuminati does not exist. One cannot know the motives of non-existent entities.

Since the Illuminati do not exist, it is difficult to prove that current or past famous singers have ever been members. There was some evidence of a "secret society" back in the 1700s, but while the Illuminati have been the subject of many urban legends and conspiracy theories, there is no verifiable proof it is still around, nor is there proof that "many famous singers" have belonged to it.

In truth, the Illuminati are not "taking" anyone. They do not exist, and a thing that does not exist is not capable of doing anything.
