Find the Scorpion. It's one of the few constellations that actually looks kind of like its namesake, and it has a big bright star in the middle of it. Now look for what should be the Scorpion's claws... That's Libra. It was the last constellation, added to the existing ones so there would be 12 instead of an awkward 11 (also, Scorpio is kind of long). You may note that although we call the constellations along the ecliptic the "Zodiac" from zoon, "animal," Libra is not an Animal, but a Thing. Apparently, no one could think of an animal that looked anything like a scorpion's claws.
