What is the importance of reincarnation?

In Hinduism, the Hindu people devote their lives in their religion in order to achieve perfect understand or Moksha. Though, most do not reach Moksha in one lifetime, so through reincarnation it allows the soul to be born again multiple times until it finally reaches Moksha.

Importance of Reincarnation:Belief in Reincarnation is necessary to,

1. Lead a life based on Dharma

2. Attain Moksha

Dharma and Belief in Reincarnation:

When we are leading a life based on Dharma we often realize that people who are leading a wanton life have a better standard of living. This is paradoxical because god should reward us and punish sinners. The belief in Reincarnation enables us to explain this paradox. We can suppose that we have committed sins in our past life and the sinners having a better standard of living would have sacrificed their lives for the welfare of the society.

Moksha and Belief in Reincarnation:

Whenever our life is ruined beyond repair the best option is to start a new life. However, to attain Moksha we must not make even small changes in our life style.

The belief in Karma and Reincarnation enables us to filter off fluctuations in our life. We can block fluctuations in our present life with imaginary successes and failures in our past life and just let unemotional thoughts to enter our conscious mind. Absence of changes in life would enable us to discard Voluntary force needed to deal with a change.

This would enable us to lead a life with pure Involuntary force which is nothing but Moksha.
