How did Odysseus attract the ghosts’ attention?
Although i highly recommend you read the " land of the dead" here is the answer!The three ghosts which Odysseus meets are Elpenor, Anticlea, and Tiresias. Elpenor: Odyssyeus listens to Elpenor's story and promises him a proper burial. Anticlea: Odysseus is somewhat shocked because he was unaware of her death in his absence. He weeps, but does not speak to her. Tiresias: Odysseus offers sacrifices to Tiresias and listens to his predictions.your welcome! ~ :P now study hard!

In the underworld, Odysseus offers a libation of milk, honey, wine, and water to attract the souls of the dead so he can communicate with the prophet Tiresias. This offering is a way to show respect and gain the attention of the spirits in the realm of the dead.
Odysseus does not venture into Hades, he merely speaks to the ghosts of the dead by a ritual.

In the Odyssey, he did not go into the Underworld but merely summoned ghosts of the dead to speak to him.
Odysseus became surrounded by more and more ghosts who had appalling cries and was afraid that Persephone might send up the head of the Gorgon (which turns men to stone.)
