Since ghosts don't exist, there is nothing you need to keep them away from you.

Ghosts have never been proven to exist, so it is intellectually responsible and prudent to conclude they do not exist.

Scientific researchers propose hypotheses as explanations of phenomena, and design experimental studies to test these hypotheses. These steps must be repeatable in order to dependably predict any future results. Theories that encompass wider domains of inquiry may bind many independently derived hypotheses together in a coherent, supportive structure. This in turn may help form new hypotheses or place groups of hypotheses into context.

Among other facets shared by the various fields of inquiry is the conviction that the process must be objective to reduce biased interpretations of the results. Another basic expectation is to document, archive and share all data and methodology so they are available for careful scrutiny by other scientists, thereby allowing other researchers the opportunity to verify results by attempting to reproduce them. This practice, called full disclosure, also allows statistical measures of the reliability of these data to be established.

In summation: For something to exist it has to be proven. This is how we escaped the dark ages - using reason and logic.So, for now, ghosts do not exist.

The real question is what is a ghost? But, what I understand, from the fragment above it seems to be asking: how do I keep my fears at bay? If we look at this question what strikes me straight off is (meaning not conclusively) that there are 2 types of fear: healthy fear and unhealthy fear. Healthy fear is like when you look at thin ice and are afraid to walk on it. Unhealthy fear is like a constant anxiety that you can't get rid off and slowly eats away at you. The first type saves your life and the second will lead to your death (even if it is not actual death, still part of you is dying). So again, I assume the question is how do I get rid of the 2nd type. There is literature out there on this. I would advise study: open mindedly and without any bind acceptance. Experiment with solutions from this lit. and see what works for you... 2 other options come to mind: 1. figure out what a ghost is? (ghost of a person? an animal? ghost of an idea?) 2. Die and become! (know thyself, transform, Live!)
