Of course they are. Some people are born with it and others just practice it. It is a skill you either have or to master.
A Pagan PerspectiveIn my considerable experience there are both Witches and Wizards alive and practicing their craft in the world today.A Witch is generally a practitioner of magics, within a structured spiritual path.
A man or woman (the word is NOT gender specific), who follows one of many spiritual paths that include the manipulation of naturally occurring powers, and elements by their hand and will.
Not all practitioners of magic call or consider themselves witches, nor do all people who call or consider themselves witches practice magic.
A Wizard is generally a practitioner of the science of magics, not usually within a spiritual path.
A man or woman (once again the word is NOT gender specific), who researches, studies and experiments with the naturally occurring powers, and elements sometimes called "magic."
In my experience, unlike Witches, all Wizards work with and/or practice the science of magic.
Two things:
1) Witch is a genderless term.
2) Whether or not Witches exist is a matter of opinion, i practice witchcraft (Wicca - ie. white magick) and have found great results, for instance after a relative of mine had a 15% chance of living and was disimproving, I performed a ritual for him (not with him, he was in a different country) and the day after he began to improve, but that's my belief.
One interpretation of the word Wizard (also a non-gender specific word) is one who practices the sciences of magic without the restrictions of a spiritual path. Alchemists are one of the best examples of this.
The short answer to your question is yes, witches are real. So too are wizards.
The long answer will depend on your personal definition of "witch" and"wizard". As I can not know what your definitions are I can only give you my definitions.
A witch is a person of either gender, who is a follower of one of the many spiritual paths that are, by in large, earth centred, polytheistic, and may of may not include the practice of magic.
A wizard is a person of either gender, who is a practitioner of magic, usually (but not always) outside of a spiritual path.
No. Witches, warlocks and wizards are human beings. However, there are some people who believe that witches, warlocks and wizards receive power from demons.
Contributions from different Wiki Farmers: * There are no such things as wizards and witches. Wizards and witches are fictional. === === * There are many people throughout the world who claim to be witches and wizards and who (mostly) practise White Magic. * There are many websites for these groups of people..just type White Magic Witches into your search engine
Witches and wizards could trade their tactics in their world.
Do You? Some do, some don't. I know some real close relatives who do

Young witches and wizards.
Wizards: Salzar Slytherin and Godric Gryffindor Witches: Helga Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw
NO there is not witches and wizards school. That stuff is all made uppeople may think that its real but its just really in your mindActually,A while back I heard about a witchcraft school in Canada, but I think it has since shut down due to a lack of students. Im not entirely sure what the name was. Mostly, witches learn in groups called Covens. They are like private schools, but with no tuition and a small, small class.
the goblin of course
Its a great book.
