When discovering a fire, the first thing you want to do is evacuate the building. Before opening any doors feel for heat, if there is no heat, go ahead and open. If there is a lot of smoke, you want to stay as close to the floor as you can. Once you are to safety, you then want to call the fire department. Never return into a burning building.
