I hurt my pinkie finger playing Volleyball and it was swollen for 4 weeks so I finally went to the doctor. It ended up to be an avulsion fracture (small fracture). If your finger is broken it will be swollen. But take note: YOU CAN BEND YOUR FINGER IF IT IS BROKEN. Everyone told me that if it was broken, I wouldn't be able to bend it.
