You cant prevent, but you can prepare for one when you see that there is a flood watch or flood warning. Flash floods are when to much rain comes too fast, so there is nothing you can do to prevent
Too Much Rain was created in 2005.
A brief period of rain is called a "shower." It typically lasts for a short duration before clearing up.
A river floods when it has too much water in it, this is usually when large quantities of rain fall with its basin, most rivers have a flood plain that without interference will flood at least once a year.
Too much precipitation causes the flood.
Too much precipitation causes the flood.
If too much rain or snow falls at once, it can lead to flooding, landslides, or avalanches. Excessive rainfall can overwhelm drainage systems, causing water to accumulate and flood low-lying areas. Heavy snowfall can increase the risk of avalanches in mountainous regions and cause roofs to collapse under the weight.
Water.
They are opposites to each other. A drought is no water, but a flood is too much.
nFloods are sometimes when to much rain comes down from the sky (clouds) and all the rain doesn't have a home…. So it just lays down on the ground and too much rain come down and it goes everywhere!!L nAnother type of flood is when there is to much water in the rivers.. So they go find a new home and to much rain wants to find a new home so then it all piles up, and the flooding starts. It almost always starts with a huge amount of rain, but there are many things that help it along. If the ground is hard, then the water just sits on top, but if the ground is soft, the water seeps in. However there is only so much water that can be stored, and when the ground is full, it acts like a sponge and squeezes it all out. If you lived at the bottom of a hill, or a mountain Ext. it would be more likely to flood, because it is easy for the rain to run down. Another way a flood can start is when the rain flows into a river, and bursts the bank.
