Cross Country is alot of work......I am in 9th grade, and this is my 1st year.At the beginning of the season, I was 137 lbs. now, after 7 days of practice and 1 meet.....i weigh 118, so I would say it does, but....it's alot of work.....and you HAVE to work to lose the weight, but most people go out thinking it's gonna be an easy sport, and that it's all fun and games....so watch what your limit of running is.

I was already in fit, because i go out for track and feild every year, and practice all the time.....
