That is the general average. Not everyone needs 2,000 calories a day. No matter what the number (determined by age, height, weight, gender, activity level, ect.) is though, calories provide the body with vital nutrients and energy to survive.

Yes. Eating 2000 is perfectly healthy and not eating all 2000 is bad for your health. Your body needs calories to keep its energy up and while it may gain a little weight if you eat more and you may feel tired if you don't eat enough

This is simply an average. Most adults expend about 1200 kcal on normal bodily functions (e.g. digestion, breathing, making your heart beat) and about 800 on physical activity (e.g. walking to your car, taking a shower, tying your shoes). So to remain stable, i.e. not lose or gain weight, most experts recommend about 2000 kcal each day. This is only an estimation - the actual value is influenced by many factors like age, gender, weight, activity level, genetics, etc.

Take your ideal daily calorie intake and divide it by .30 which should give you your daily calories from fat. e.g 2000 calorie intake = 666 calories from fat per day. To convert to fat grams divide by 9. e.g. 666 fat calories = 74. So if your aim is a 2000 calorie per day diet, a maximum of 666 of those calories can be from fat which is equal to 74 grams of fat.
