Literally all foods will give you at least some form of energy. Sugary foods and sweets will give a quick burts of energy followed by a sudden drop. Foods like carbs and startches (bread, pasta, veggies, fruits, ect.) will give lasting energy. Many carbs will also be able to have stored energy in a person's body to be used at a later event.

Citrus does not really give many people energy. Because it is an Acid, it burns many people on the inside and therefor takes energy away.
Also, all grains except for amaranth are known to be inflammatory to many people.

∙ 13y agoSounds bad, but pure Fat has the most energy per gram.
There are three types of energy that the body can process normally, Fat, Protein, and Carbs. Carbs and Protein both contain 4 Cal per gram, while fat has 9 Cal per gram. Therefore, Fat has more energy then Carbs or Protein per gram.
Please note that this answer only looks at what has the most energy, not what is healthiest, nor what the body can utilize the quickest. Fat is not a good source of energy for doing work (as in being easily usable for doing physical work), however it is good for when you run out of food to keep you alive (like if you get stranded in the woods).
Also, ethanol has 7 Cal per gram

Fatty foods provide the most calories for long term use.
I assume you mean the food. Most of the food we eat has food energy, which is a type of chemical energy.
Energy is most food does indeed come from sunlight. Producers are the most abundant food source and producers make their food from sunlight during photosynthesis.
From Food
Most energy people use comes from food.
All of your energy come from the food you eat.
FAT
Most of the energy in the box comes from the potential energy stored in the food molecules. When the food is digested and broken down, this potential energy is converted into chemical energy that can be used by the body for various functions and activities.
Producers, such as plants and algae, have the most energy in a food chain. They convert sunlight into energy through photosynthesis, making them the primary source of energy that flows through the ecosystem.
Most unicellular algae are photosynthetic, meaning they generate food through photosynthesis using chlorophyll in their cells. They use sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water to produce sugars as their source of energy.
Fats have the most calories.
