In order to make a trans fat, an unsaturated fat must be heated to high temperatures, which greatly increases the rate of oxidation. The amount of oxidated fats in the diet is one of the chief factors in the development of atheromas in arteries. So while when eating unsaturated fats you will generally be consuming some oxidized fatty acids, when you eat trans fats you will be consuming a substantially larger quantity.
Saturated and Unsaturated.

A saturated fat has more hydrogen atoms attached to the main fat molecule.Saturated fats tend to be solid at room temperature (example--butter)Unsaturated fats tend to be liquid at room temperature (example--olive oil)
Olive oil is an example of unsaturated fat, specifically monounsaturated fat. Corn oil is also an example of unsaturated fat, but it is a polyunsaturated fat. Unsaturated fats are usually liquid at room temperature and are considered healthier fats compared to saturated fats.
Many biscuits have saturated or trans fat which causes high cholesterol. If the fat in the biscuit is unsaturated fat, that is better.
