The recommendation for salt is no more than 2,300-2,400mg per day. As for sugar, when it comes to added sugars, it's best to have as little of that as possible. Natural sugars aren't bad for you, though. If you want an exact number you need each day, try talking to your doctor - sometimes some people need more/less sugar than others.
