How many grams of sugar and carbs in a gin martini?
All sugars are carbs, but not all carbs are sugars (starch is a
carbohydrate but it's not a "sugar", even though it breaks down to
sugar in your digestive system; cellulose is chemically a
carbohydrate but it doesn't break down in your digestive system, so
from a dietary standpoint it's considered "fiber"). There are
essentially none of either in gin, so the amount in a gin martini
depends on how much vermouth you use (and whether or not you put in
an olive ... there are some carbs in an olive).
