I found the most effective way to lose weight is HIIT training. For a youth it can be modified, however in principle, a full workout can be done in little as 12-16 minutes.

A nice field with 6-9 sprints (100 m) will be effective as the body will lose weight throughout the day. the fewer breaks between sprints (around 90 seconds) is what makes this effective. also helps build bone density improve circulation and cardiovascular function.

It is cheap, quick, and you will see amazing results within 2 weeks.

This seriously helped me lose over 30 pounds in 3 months and i have amazing energy now and improved skin.

I'm 11 and want to maybe lose a bit of weight just to be a bit healthier how about doing extra curriculum clubs maybe dance, Basketball or something like that. Or maybe nice walks as a family? Eating more fruit & veg would help.

Lay off the sweets and about 6 bottles of water per day :)

A nine-year-old girl is still growing and needs all of the different food groups and some, if not most, diets do not give you that. You need to take her to a doctor to find out for sure that she actually needs to lose weight. Her extra fat may be due to a growth spurt that is about to take place. If she really needs to lose weight have her eat healthier foods. More fruits, vegetables, and lean protein. Less junk food like chips and cookies. Most importantly, if you want this girl to lose weight, play with her, actively. Get her moving. Even frequent small amounts of exercise will help her get fit.
