The little Ice Age spanned from 1400 AD - 1800 AD and had an average drop of 2-3 deg C. This caused the crop seasons to become shorter with harsher winters and shorter summers. This was also a contributing factor in the black plague outbreak which accured during this time. 1/3 of the population of Europe was wiped out from the disease which is about 25 million people. So you could argue all that is caused from the little ice age.

Side note: A real ice age is an average drop of about 7-10 deg and would have much worse effects. Immagine 1/3 of Europe being wiped out today from an ice age. That would be 244 million people. Lack of crops means lack of food for an over populated society, which means a total breakdown of society.
