Most records are at the National Personnel Records Center in St Louis Missouri. If a veteran was recently discharged however, their record may be in the hands of the military. You can call the NPRC at 314 801 0800 to reach someone about funeral records. You need to fill out an sf180 to obtain the record. Here is a link. http://www.archives.gov/research/order/standard-form-180.pdf Mark funeral on the request and ask them to fax it to you. If the veteran was very recently discharge then you will want to contact the appropriate branch of the military. You can search for the branch by typing Army personnel command etc to find the right branch. However if you call the Records Center above, they can provide the right contact info. You need to call early in the morning or late in the evening to get through, however if it is for a headstone or Funeral Honors, you can get righ to someone. Do not pay private companies to get the record. You can get it just as fast. John

Ask to see his DD214. No DD214, he didn't serve. If info's not on his DD214, it didn't happen.
Look for their discharge certificate, it normally lists the rank. The other items is the DD214 which lists ranks and duty stations. You may have to contact the Military Records repository for a copy of their service record.
Legacy Headstones is a great place to purchase a headstone. They also have a great headstone designer on their site which is very helpful. http://legacyheadstones.com/
The spirit shows Scrooge his own headstone in the book.
Headstone Lane railway station was created in 1913.
No headstone, he was cremated and his ashes spread in the garden of his daughter's home.
It Is by the guy where you had to dig up his charm for Annie. but anyway the headstone should be to the left of his headstone (the blank headstone). Your in for a surprise. i just got this game a couple of days ago... its really fun towards the end.
NO! ANY alteration of your DD214 negates it's validity
Ask to see his DD214; no DD214, he didn't serve; if somethings not on the document, it didn't happen.
The DD214 (US Military Discharge) has an awards/decorations section where all would be listed
10% for vets.
