Thoughts/attempts of suicide, losing intesrest in activities you used to enjoy, isolating yourself from others, attitude changes (in a negative way), dropping grades, loss of intesrest in everything, failing to communicate, and low self esteem/ being consious about yourself all the time.

Many times if you're depressed you feel lethargic tiered and hopeless. It depends on the severity but sometimes if you're depressed you don't even want to get out of bed. You also don't find joy in things you used to.

Depression can take out a lot out of you. If you suffer from depression frequently, I suggest you find someone you can talk to and listens to you.

Symptoms of being depressed:

  • Eating too much or not enough.
  • Unable to sleep properly or sleeping all the time.
  • Feelings of euphoria.
  • Distancing oneself from the outside world or from family and friends.
  • Finding no pleasure in anything in life.
  • Feeling lethargic (tired all the time.)
  • Crying on and off.
  • Feeling ill on and off; feeling achy all over or upset stomachs and possibly diarrhea.
  • School or work is suffering and the person is not doing their best because of lack of energy and their depressed state.

Note: Every individual can go through depressed periods in their life, but if it lasts more than two to three weeks they should consult their physician as there are medications your doctor can prescribe on a possible short term basis to help you recover from the depression you feel.

YOu know when your in depression when you have thoughts of killing, cutting, or hurting yourself in any way. Also when you loes intrest in thing you used to enjoy.
