i believe it was the mayflower but I'm not sure
No country sent the Mayflower. It was a ship hired by the 60 Pilgrims from the same English village to take them to Virginia, but they were blown off course and landed off the coast of Massachusetts.

The Mayflower went off course and winter was approaching, so it went back to Cape Cod for shelter.
In 1620 onboard the ship Mayflower landed in Mass. after being blown off course for VA.
Yes. The ship (The Mayflower) was actually destined for an area near Jamestown, Virginia. However, because of being caught in storms that blew it off course, it landed in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
I have never read of any damage on the Mayflower. It did get blown off course and that is how they ended up in Plymouth and some months later it did return to England with Capt and crew. I know the Pilgrims lived on the Mayflower while they looked for a place to settle and while they were building the colony.
