What does the tidal range mean?
The maximum difference between the lowest of Low Tide to the
maximum height of High Tide. For one reason or another different
places in the world have different tidal ranges. The Mediterranean,
for example has a low tidal range (Rivers such as the Nile, Po
& Rhone have Deltas) whereas the North Atlantic hs a high tidal
range & rivers have Estuaries, (St Lawrence, Gironde,
Severn.)
