Most recipes call for the oven to be at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, although either the length of time the chops are cooked for or the temperature of the oven will need reducing if the oven is fan assisted.

Not always. Some recipes calling for a dutch oven are first heated on the stove top to brown meat before adding other ingredients and placing in the oven. Most "oven safe" dishes are not safe to use on the stove top burners. But it would be safe to brown the meat in a skillet then transfer it to an oven safe dish for oven cooking.
An electric oven must be on a dedicated circuit. Unless you already have a 220 Volt circuit available, you will have to run a wire from the fuse panel to the stove. Call a licensed electrician.
