First soak your foot in water which will loosen the sink around the glass in your foot. Then use tweezers or safety pin/needle sterilized in alcohol to get it out.
Approximately 14% alcohol will kill most wine yeast.
Carefully remove with tweezers. If it is in your foot all the way go to your doctor quickly. Soak sliver in water for 20 minutes a day until it can be easily removed with tweezers.

With or without the battery the water that is in the alcohol can damage the circuitry and components.
Anything effervescent works. Add some Epson salts, or Berroca to a bowl of warm water and soak the splinter for a couple of minutes while the water is still fizzing. The splinter should loosen and you should be able to squeeze it out quite easily.
