Usually the stove opening is about one eight inch larger than the stove, leaving a sixteenth of an inch on each side. If not, have it reset.

There are several products available. The best I've seen is the StoveBuddy CrumbBumper available at www.buystovebuddy.com

You must have at least a one-eighth inch gap on each side of the stove for this product to be installed.
