You have to be very precise with the food and have to look after it lots because failure of this may lead to food burning. If you grill it too much food will not tenderize and it will be hard, like gum... you know? It will not get enough color, and if you cook different types of food in the same grill (chicken, beef, fish, veggies, etc) they will all have the same monotone flavor, making no difference between food and making them less appealing. ~hope this helped lots =D~
It's hard to think up Dis-advantages of grilling food outside since I just had an annual family Summer BBQ today. :P
But, some dis-advantages could be:
1. Your dog reaching up and stealing it from the grill.
2. Not noticing that the charcoal flavoring will make the meat taste horrible.
3. The flames catching your meat on fire when you went inside to get seasoning and burning it to a crisp.
4. Bad luck hits you and it starts raining on your BBQ.
This is all I can think of, hopefully someone smarter with more BBQ knowledge can help you. :) I have never had bad luck with grilling food so I don't have much info. to share. :) -MooMay17
5. it will have a smokey taste if u leave it to get burn.
6. it needs alot of attention so that it would not get burn up

yes, grilling uses convection- the heat is rising from the grill, heating and cooking the food.
Yes, you should add oil when grilling. It will prevent the food from sticking to the grill. And it serves as both a heat conductor as well as a flavor conductor.
Grilling is healthier because u do not put it in fattening oil or baked comes with the extra skin which is also unhealthy so grilling is healthier because no oil no extra skin and just burnt on a grill hence grilling.
I would say it is close as far as cooking results goes. Both subject the food to an indirect heat source. But grilling will get you a smoky flavor to the meat and broiling will not.
Because grilled food is tasty and grilling is a more healthy way of cooking than roasting with oil (because the fat is being lost during grilling).
There are many benefits of mesquite-wood roasting or grilling. It is best used to add smoke-flavor to steaks, chicken, pork , and fish. Mesquite smoke flavoring can be added to vegetable stir-fries as well. Mesquite just adds a whole another dimension of flavor to your food that charcoal just does not do.
