Some important American Patriots were staying in her home. One day they were having a meeting in which Hannah wasn't invited to. She accidentally walked in and heard them talking about surrendering and going back to the British side. As soon as she heard this she called them "Cowards and Traitors." Her husband, Isaac Arnett immediately tried to dismiss her from the room but Hannah refused. she said that if he became a loyalist than she would divorce him as soon as he did. He knew she meant this. And the soldiers did too. So when they heard her threat they decided to reject Britain's offer. And that's the story of Hannah A. and the soldiers.
