"Kenmore" is a brand name for Sears, not a manufacturer. Your washer was most likely made for Sears by Whirlpool. You can tell by the first 3 digits of the model number, ie: 110.9764882 would be a Whirlpool since "110" is their manufacturer's code. The lid switch is typically just under the top of the cabinet to the right of the opening where you put the clothes in.
